1. Who is Crafting Resilience

Crafting Resilience is a project funded by the NWO- the Dutch Research Council. The full name of the research project is ‘Social Work and the Art of Crafting Resilient Societies [Crafting Resilience]’ with project number NWA.1389.20.205 of the research programme Research along Routes by Consortia (NWA-ORC). 2. What data does Crafting Resilience process?

Crafting Resilience may process the following personal data:

  • Name and (email) address
  • IP-address

3. How does Crafting Resilience obtain data and which personal data may be obtained?

Crafting Resilience collects personal data through various means. When you sign up for our e-mail newsletters, we collect your name and email address. Similarly, when you request information through our contact form, we collect your name and email address.

Furthermore, we obtain personal data when you register for and participate in our programmes, activities, initiatives, and events. This includes collecting your name, email address, profession, function, and affiliate. This information is stored securely on a drive at Leiden University and is only accessible to the core team of the project. 

When you visit our Crafting Resilience website or LinkedIn page, our servers may keep an activity log. This log does not individually identify you but includes information about the computer or device you used to access the site. It also includes information about your use of the website, such as the time and date of access, as well as browsing patterns.

4. How does Crafting Resilience use data?

We use data to address your inquiries and provide prompt responses.

We send you newsletters, mailings, and relevant information about our programmes, initiatives, activities, and events through email or other mediums.

Data helps us in event or programme registration processes to ensure efficient organisation.

We may analyse the statistical and demographic patterns of website users and their usage behavior. This analysis aids us in improving our services and tailoring them to better meet the needs of social workers.

5. The Crafting Resilience website processes your personal data for various purposes.

The legal basis for this processing is as follows:

  • For sending you newsletters, we rely on your permission. By signing up for the newsletter, you have given us consent to use your personal data for this purpose.
  • When you register for our activities or events, we process your data to organise a smooth event and keep you updated.

We understand the importance of maintaining your privacy and protecting your personal data. Our employees are granted access to your personal information only to the extent that is required for them to carry out their work on the Crafting Resilience project. Rest assured, any employees who have access to your data handle it with the utmost confidentiality.

On the Crafting Resilience website, some links can take users to our partners’ websites as well as different social media platforms. In such cases, the privacy policies of that specific network would be applicable.

To enhance the user experience of our website, Crafting Resilience utilises Google Analytics, a web service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse how visitors interact with our site. The information collected by these cookies, including your IP address, is transmitted to and stored by Google. It's worth noting that Google is a member of the Safe Harbour principles.

9. How long does Crafting Resilience keep your data?

Crafting Resilience makes sure to only keep your personal information for as long as it is legally allowed or required, and as long as it is necessary for the reasons we are using the data.
