Sabrina Rahmawan-Huizenga PostDoc
Social Resilience as Political PracticeSabrina Rahmawan-Huizenga is a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden University. She completed her PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam on health and urban experimentation. Her research revolves around the idea of a 'healthy city' and how this intersects with metropolitan issues, public health and the 'right to the city'.
During her PhD, she participated for two years in the ZonMw research programme 'Learning to dance with Corona', which gave her a unique insight into the decision-making process around the COVID-19 policy. This enabled her to unravel the complexities of pandemic policy.
Her research explores experimental urban governance from different theoretical perspectives such as urban studies, public health and science and technology studies (STS). As a result, she writes about the 'experimental city', the 'resilient city', the 'pandemic city' and the 'data-driven city'.
Sabrina is also a member of WTMC (Netherlands Graduate Research School of Science, Technology, and Modern Culture).
