Hannah Bliersbach PostDoc

Hannah Bliersbach is a postdoctoral researcher at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance and Society at Leiden Law School (VVI). Her doctoral dissertation "Becoming and Belonging? Lived Experiences of Naturalisation and the Implementation of Citizenship Law in Germany and Canada" focused on citizenship acquisition and both the administrative as well as the emotional aspects of naturalisation. During her PhD, she did fieldwork in both Germany and Canada, where she was a Visiting Junior Fellow at the Centre for Criminology & Sociolegal Studies at the University of Toronto. 

As part of research line three of the Crafting Resilience project, Hannah continues her work on street-level implementation and ‘law in action’.
