University of Amsterdam: the new official home for the Crafting Resilience Project
The Crafting Resilience project will make the University of Amsterdam its new home. After nearly two years at Leiden University, the project will officially make the move on 1 June 2024.
Principal Investigator and Project Leader Anouk de Koning will take on a new role as Professor of Power, Politics and the State in the anthropology department at the University of Amsterdam. This means that the UvA will become the coordinating institute and official secretary (penvoerder) of the Crafting Resilience project. The researchers for Social Resilience as Political Practice, Charlotte van Veen and Yannick Drijfhout, will also join Anouk at the anthropology department at the UvA. Project manager Sarah Smith will move to the UvA as well.
Crafting Resilience will remain embedded in Leiden University through PI Maartje van der Woude's Resilience & Security research line at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance, and Society. The Navigating Professional Politics research line led by PI Femke Kaulingfreks will continue to be based at Inholland, in partnership with the UvA and Hoogeschool van Amsterdam. All consortium partners and collaborations will continue as planned for the duration of the project through 2027.
